As per the official brand guidelines of Towson University, the Pantone® numbers of the gold and black colors are 1235 C and Black 3 C, respectively. The athletics teams of the school are known as the Towson Tigers and their mascot is Doc the Tiger. The brand guide also specifies other colors in the primary palette – graphite, Old gold and Glen Mist with hex codes 3C3C3C, CC9900 and DDDDDD, and Pantone® numbers 447 C, 1245 C and Cool Gray 1 C.
